Using hand tools and managed goat browsing techniques we help transition weedy, fire-prone forests into biodiverse grassy woodlands. Our method aims to encourage biodiversity, build soil humus, hold soil moisture, mitigate dominant weeds and reduce bushfire risk. I was so moved (to tears actually) to see people caring so much about nature and wildlife and acknowledging our connection to nature as the means to keep us sane as Patrick Jones noted. So true, a hike in the woods can make my spirit soar and re-energize me like nothing else. I also loved that they are creating this around community because we all need to work together and do our part, however small, to help heal this planet and be good stewards for the next generations.
